My current experience with Lufthansa has been very disappointing. We had a ticket booked from Amman to Toronto via Frankfurt, and the first leg was delayed by 3 hours. As a consequence, the second flight would be missed. We called the airline to ask if it would be possible to make the second flight with only 40 minutes time in between, and they told us that it would not be possible and that the flight should be changed. They changed the flight so that there was now 11 hours transit from original flight arrival time instead of the previous 3... leaving 8 hours of transit time after the delay. Upon arrival to Frankfurt, they announced that there would be a specific shuttle to take passengers onto the original flight. They refused to change the booking back, they would not change the booking to the flight departing to Toronto earlier and provided no compensation for the 8 hour transit that now existed. I was on hold with customer service for 40 minutes. All emails that they provided could not respond because of high volume of inquiries. Lufthansa customer service has been horrible.
