I flew with Aeroflot from America to Israel, and back (long international flight). It was a newer plane with personal screen, and the food was great! (except the free wine, but that's common with most airlines). Some planes had much better service than others, so it depends on your luck. Apart from service everything else was top rate and the tickets where cheaper relative to other airlines. Also, passengers clapping after a successful landing is a sort of long flight tradition, an ending to a long journey (common in Russia). It is not a representation of relief and gratitude of still being alive, like previous reviewers have written.
