China Southern review by Barry 2015-12-04

Just returned from round trip London-Brisbane-Auckland-London which is a trip we've done on many and China Southern is without doubt and by a long way the worst carrier we've ever used. A summary: Planes: Mostly Boeing 787. Cramped, (and I'm, only 5'5" and 140lb) back-breakingly uncomfortable seats. Entertainment: Mainly Sky TV and movies - reasonabe chioce but nothing compared to Emirates, Singapore etc. Cabin crew: ranged from pleasant to downright unhelpful. Most spoke or understood very little English, even words like water. Food: Pretty poor quality and virtually no choice. Website: Largely doesn't work for managing flights. Customer service/relations: They don't understand the concept. Virtually impossible to contact them.. Hub airport - Guanzhou: Ferociously expensive and depressing. In short, I can think of absolutely no reason at all to fly with CS. Do yourself a favour; scrape together the extra and fly on real airline.
