My flight from Philadelphia was scheduled for 12:25pm 8/21, we never took off till after 7pm! The original delay was 2:40, then 3:30, then 5:00, then 5:20. We finally boarded the plane around 6pm and sat on the gate for an hour. We were told that the flight to myrtle beach was delayed and we had to wait for that plane to fly to Myrtle Beach, drop the passengers off, reboard, then return because they only had one plane in Philadelphia. Horrible! They offered passengers $7 food vouchers after spending the entire day in the airport, and a $50 credit towards our next flight with Spirit. One, I still have not received that information and two, do you think I would ever step foot on a Spirit aircraft again? Once on the plane, the plane was dirty and extremely cramped. Beverages (soda/water) and snacks are only available for purchased! After a day in the airport they could of provided that to the passengers. The flight attendants were extremely rude and very unprofessional. At one point an attendant told a customer "it doesn't matter to me sir, I don't get paid till we're in the air". Staff was just as horrible as the entire Spirit airline customer service. Never again! EDITORS COMMENT: they are an ultra low cost airline you must pay for everything , that's why the airfare is so cheap - its no frills travel and that's the risk passengers take when choosing ultra cheap airfares. When things go wrong there is not the same level or care if you like as compared to a full service carrier.
