Singapore to Brisbane SQ176. I travelled with my 11 year old and 16 year old ( on a single booking number) and we were all seated in completely different rows. Our travel agent asked us to confirm the flight which was done in Vietnam by the hotel concierge the day before, and we went on a Silk Air Singapore Airlines flight the day before. They were aware of our ongoing arrangements as they asked if we wanted to put the bags through or not(we had a 1 night stop in Singapore). The check in counter lady in Singapore was rude and said that the flight was full and it was bad luck and she could do nothing. On my insistence she relunctantly looked and put the children together in row 55 and me in row 46( different cabin). After going to the boarding gate I pleaded with them to see if anything could be done and they quickly were able to change a seat with a single traveller. My family was upset and my little boy was crying but the staff had no compunction to let a child who had the same booking number as his mother , fly an 8 hour international flight alone. 0/10 Singapore Airlines!!
