The flight may go out the day you sign up for, but if it doesn't it will be at least a day delay. The customer service motto is " We're not happy until we know you're not happy" Customer service is nearly not-existiant. Left a pair of prescription glasses at my seat, notified Allegiant before I left the terminal, could never talk to anyone to try to locate them. And i really tried. Of course, never got them back. I no longer fly Allegiant at all. Life for me is better without them. Among other cheap tricks, it appears they split up seats so you can't sit together unless you pay for the seat, extra. One of their agents said "it doesn't surprise me that Allegiant does this deliberately. EDITORS COMMENT: Doesn't surprise us either - nut not just that Allegiant do it but all low cost airlines. As Allegiant serve low frequency routes - a delay due to aircraft maintenance etc can become quite a big delay.
