Air New Zealand review by David 2015-06-14

Boing 787-9 Dreamliner - We were taking our terminally ill son from Auckland to Perth and at the instructions of Medical Staff he and my wife were flying Business Class with a Medical escort while our daughter and I were flying economy. Air NZ staff exceeded our expectations from the time of booking (via phone to Auckland call centre) to our arrival in Perth WA. Even though we (my daughter and I) were travelling in economy class we were afforded the privileges of Business class travel prior to the flight. Access to the lounge in Auckland was conveyed by the Air NZ call centre representative by a return phone call after confirming the bookings. During meal service I was invited from the economy cabin to have dinner with my wife and son in Business Class. On arrival in Perth we were requested to wait for the disembarkation of other passengers. At which time our son was invited to view the flight deck, a gesture he recounted in following days. Our sincere thanks to the entire Air NZ team (Call Centre, Auckland Ground staff, Cabin and Flight crew and Perth Ground staff) for making our sons last flight a dignified and memorable occasion.
