I typically would not take the time to register an account (especially knowing the outcome will be more junk mail in my inbox) BUT I came to this site in hopes of gaining valuable information regarding another airline (that I have no prior experience with). I decided the best way to judge my opinion on the accuracy of the reviews is to check the reviews of an airline I am extremely familiar with, that would be Allegiant Air. Upon reading the reviews posted I feel as though offering my experiences with Allegiant might be helpful for someone else who resorts to this site, specifically for this airline. I absolutely understand how incredibly frustrating ANYTHING except a smooth, eventless traveling experience can be. I think potential passengers should keep in mind that most reviewers are more encouraged to take the time to share their opinion, when their experience has unfortunately fallen short of their expectations..understandably so. But those who have neither a negative or overly positive experience, don’t tend to even think about sharing with others. I fly Allegiant ever 2.5-3 weeks since October of 2017 (it is currently November of 2018) I would say that is a sufficient number of flights to accurately judge an airline. I will be the first to admit Allegiant is far from glamorous, there is no first class treatment but you get what you pay for & to be honest, every time I’ve compared the total of my round trip ticket including all fees, to that of any regular cost carrier/major airline the difference is easily a couple 100 dollars (with Allegiant being the lowest). I typically pay between $250-$350 for a round trip ticket this includes my luggage, seating & priority fees & one important factor I should mention is that those prices reflect a reservation made only a week or so in advance. No, you do not get roomy, reclining seats, yes you do pay extra for beverages &/or snacks & yes there are additional charges beyond the base ticket price but when the total cost can save you at least $200 per passenger (or more if you book further in advance) to put towards your vacation or the millions of better things we can all think of spending $200+ on; then it’s worth a few less then luxurious sacrifices. I can confidently say that in all the flights I’ve taken over the past 13 months I have not experienced anything so terrible that it’s worth mentioning; I have no doubt that the reviews below were traumatic for those passengers but no airline is perfect. As long as your flight time is less then 3-4 hours I would say Allegiant is definitely tolerable & in fact a great option to save you $ while the chances of a negative experience are 0 in 14 as far as my own personal experiences go! I hope this review is helpful! Safe travels!
