During the flight AirAsia claimed to be "the best low cost airline in the world". This is laughable; AirAsia has easily provided the most appalling customer service I have ever experienced from any company, let alone an airline. While purchasing a meal with my flights I noticed there was no information regarding what the meal was and no option to input dietary requirements. On the flight the attendant tried to give me chicken and I explained that myself and my family were vegetarian and did they have any alternatives. The attendant said they did indeed have vegetarian food, but she refused to give it to us in place of the chicken, saying that we'd have to pay the extortionate airline prices for it. When told that there was a problem with this, the attendant, in a display of unacceptable rudeness, simply laughed and said it was our problem. Later, when I contacted customer care services on the ground, they gave a stock answer of "the value pack meal includes sandwich of the day only", which clearly did not help in the slightest, and then rudely just stopped replying to my messages despite me stating that I was not satisfied with this. Tl;dr: avoid avoid avoid!
