I have just experienced the worst ever check in process at an International Airport in 40 years of travel. Air New Zealand have gone for a shockingly poor fully automated system at Auckland Airport, that despite checking in on line prior to arriving at the airport, still required 3 more levels of auto processing none of which work. The one or two staff that were available did their best and we actually felt sorry for them. Having been less than impressed with Air NZ on an incoming flight, we wont be using them again.
