The premium cabin is their equivalent of business class. It’s right out of the 1970s. Nothing much to say except you get some extra leg room. Otherwise it’s the same as coach. But that’s not the reason for the rating. On the outbound leg, my carryon was no problem. Inbound, they made a big deal out of it and coerced me into checking my luggage. I fly a lot — with exactly the same stuff — and BA, American, United, Delta have simply never made an issue of my carryon which fits into overhead compartments with plenty of room to spare. OK, precisely because I fly a lot, consistency is important. I need to know that policies are applied by trained staff in the same ways regardless of airport. Showing up at checkin — no kiosks by the way — not knowing what will happen to my luggage just adds another needless and avoidable complication to business travel. I won’t be flying Norwegian again. No trust. ESPECIALLY when they refuse to disclose names to facilitate followup with management.
