I went through a direct flight from RDU to Toronto with Air Canada. Forst leg was delayed by 3 hours (approx twice the flight time). The agent on the gate starts to lecture me about my name in the passport (first time I hear such complains...). On the way back, flight is delayed by 1 hour. Then we all board just to be delayed for another 45min without AC. (Then need to circle for another 30min around RDU because of the weather. Maybe the small aircraft had something to do with it.) An interesting side comment is how they update the flight status information online. (My wife was following.) During the first leg, they simply kept reporting "no status information". During the second lag, after we boarded, but the aircraft is still standing the gate, they changed the online status as departure. Moreover, it stated that the flight arrived around 5:30pm while we landed after 6:15pm. (Nice way to fudge the statistics of performance.) I hope to avoid Air Canada for a long time.
