RIP-OFF! This is is not a review of a flight. It is a review of the ticket purchase process. Our family is going to England on holiday. As a fallback plan, I purchased on Norwegian's website a one-way ticket for my son to return from England on an earlier date. I paid the Premium fare £427.50 Gatwick to JFK in case he had to return to school early. When I bought the Premium fare, I believed that I was buying a refundable ticket. I called Norwegian to confirm the booking and learned that even though it is a Premium fare, it is not refundable. If I misread the conditions for purchase on the website, then that is my mistake. But here is what really annoys me. I called to ask whether my son would have a credit for future travel if he cancelled the reservation (we realize there would probably be a time limit and change fees). The answer is no. If you cancel, a reservation unless you book for an alternate date at the time that you cancel, you forfeit the amount that you paid. Any time someone mentions Norwegian Air, I'll let them know how we wasted £427.50.
