The absolute worst customer service i can recall dealing with. Their representatives were hostile and patronizing and, not that i expected them to change their policy because I told them my mother had died and I needed to change my trip, but there was ZERO compassion or humanity. ZERO. I am about to forfeit $1200. rather than engage further with these rude robots. EDITORS COMMENT: Unfortunately it doesn't matter what the circumstance, if you are flying on a non changeable non flexible ticket then there is no lenience for date changes without hefty charges. This is the rule across the airline industry but it's particularly rigid with low cost carriers. It's not something we necessarily agree with but the airline is well within the rules.
