My wife and I found the flight on China Southern to be very, very poor quality. The staff need to learn how to smile and help customers. Many are very sullen and do not appear to enjoy their job. The food provided can only be described as the worst that we have ever experienced. We were very hungry as we could literally not eat very much that was provided. Our seats had no cushioning on the back . . . they literally had wooden backs with a light cover of it making them unacceptably uncomfortable! Finally, on the longest leg between Amsterdam and Guongzou we had no entertainment. There were no individual screens provided and the 'cabin' screens that were available were used to show one child's movie then ten minutes of another before it was turned off with no explanation. We had 10 hours with no entertainment at all! The website suggests that wifi entertainment is available. Our experience on two flights would say that this is not true.
