Vietnam Airlines review by Marion 2015-04-26

We've flew with VA twice on a long haul flight. It's cheap that's all I can say. The service is also cheap. I heard people who went on Emirates/Qatar Airways/Oman Air (economy class) gets much better treatment. The in-flight entertainment can let you down. Either the screen just freeze and won't turn off or it doesn't work at all. If you are an Asian or you look Asian, expect to be treated like a Vietnamese. They never even would TRY to speak in English to begin with unless you flash your passport in their face or tell them you're not Vietnamese. Not much leg room if you are a tall person. Toothbrush/paste is not given. They put it in the toilet for you to help yourself. The staff(s) only smile or are helpful towards Caucasian customers. I guess it's the Vietnamese culture to only give extra attention towards "white people". Of course you do have that ONE crew member that is fair and nice to everyone.
