Oslo to Oakland. The most striking aspect of the service was the air of sad defeat among employees. Not rudeness, but a forlorn sadness. They responded when asked directly for help, but don't seem trained to anticipate need or questions. I was clearly having trouble figuring out how to check my baggage -- call me stupid -- and yes you check your own baggage -- in full view of three or four check in agents. None seemed to care, but one happily helped once I asked. They all seemed really miserable. I didn't have much interaction with flight attendants since I didn't buy anything (blankets, drinks, food, duty free etc.) but the only time they seemed the least bit animated was selling duty free when they were obviously enjoying some kind of inside joke. The booze is really expensive. In flight entertainment is second rate; the seats in coach were, well, seats in coach. I don't understand the hoopla around the 787. A cramped seat is a cramped seat. I bought my ticket relatively close to departure during high season so didn't expect much of a discount. The fare was cheaper than the legacy carriers, but nothing that would entice me to fly them again.
