Despite their claim to cheap fares, the fare is not. Washington to Denver, the base fare was $348.67 with $84.33 in taxes giving a total of $433.00. Then comes the fees: checked bags @ $30 each way, carry-on bags (!!!) again @ $30 each way ($120). Pick your seat @ $12 each way (you can choose not to pay and they will assign you a seat at the airport, probably guaranteeing a middle seat). On board, you will discover that it really is an economy seat. The seat is a cheapy and does not recline. And do not expect a drink of juice or soda. That costs $1.99. You can get a free cup of water. They really should rename Frontier Airlines as either Cheap Charlie Airlines or Pirate Airlines. By the time I had paid all the fees, my real fare was $577. Not cheap. EDITORS COMMENT: All these extra charges are stated during the booking process and ti is wise to add up all the costs before actually paying as you may find a cheaper and more comfortable option.
