Allegiant Air review by Jim 2014-05-29

Sign me up for the class action lawsuit. Flew allegiant multiple times. prices are hard to beat, even if the service is horrible, they change rules at the last minute, have many delays and cancellations. (changed industry standard 50 lb luggage limit to 40 lb, for example) No heat in the cabin, and flying to hawaii...that can get freezing cold if you are by the window...no exaggeration. THe Last experience is the final experience I will have with allegiant, unless I sign up for a class action lawsuit. Flight delayed due to bad weather ok...that happens. Of course Alaska airlines did not cancel they flights to the same airport.!!!!! But still bad weather...ok.... But the lack of communication is what was an EPIC failure. I did not receive a phone call that the flight had been cancelled or email. They did not post this on their flight status on the website...even though they say this is where to check for current flight info. Phone app was also useless no info here either. The next day....... I get a phonecall.5am leaving me a voicemail... stating that they are sorry and I will be credited $100. I have called...emailed, submitted follow up requests, well 11 weeks later.....I finally got a response via email from "reservations center" even the email is designed in such a way so that hopefully you miss it. Anyway, they state that the promise of credit was not authorized and they will not honor their previous promise of credit. So there you go. Not credible, not honest. Cutting corners making cramped seats not giving you peanuts...is one thing..no problem with that, but dishonesty and false promises.... Where else are they cutting corners.... have to wonder about safety. I will never fly them again. I have the voicemail and their email response to anyone that wants it.
