Hi, I just took SQ223 from Singapore to Perth today at 9:30am. As a frequent flyer of my own national airline, I must say I am very disappointed with the in flight experience that I received today. The standard welcome drink and peanuts were not served and the food portion was reduced and not up to standard. I wasn't even served tea or coffee after the meal. The flight attendants were moving up and down ,oblivious to serving the passengers. I have taken many SQ flights before to Perth and I have never felt so shortchanged like this morning! It seems like they are cutting corners and it can seen just from the food tray. Serving cheap Magnum ice cream instead of Haagen Dazs which we used to get. We paid the standard airfare for our economy flight and didn't expect this sort of service. I wonder why standards have slipped. I really hope SIA will look into this deterioration of service seriously. I am a Singaporean and I feel very ashamed that they could not maintain what made them a good airline in the first place. May SIA seriously reflect on their service standards and not take their customers trust for granted. Cutting corners is a very dishonest way of doing business.
