Philippine Airlines review by Rolito 2015-08-03

Traveled with Phil Airlines on the JFK - YVR - MNL Route. Ground crew at JFK was helpful, check in was a breeze. Departure was on time. However, the plane was very old, the entertainment system was ANCIENT, TV monitor was a CRT located in the middle aisle, the seats were cramped with very poor cushion. My butt still hurts as of this writing - that is 2 days after the flight!! Food was average, however my wife was served with a moldy bread. When she asked complained - she was given another piece of bread which is still moldy and the FA just said a superficial "sorry" and continued her task. One of the FA on the JFK - YVR leg was unapproachable, snubbish. Toilets were really small and dirty. Credit to the pilots though, take off and landings were smooth. Arrival in Manila was early, but NOBODY gave us directions as to what to do for our connecting flight. We were just told to approach the transfer desk. However, at 7:30 pm the desk was empty, no ground crew to help. We had to ask directions from customs and immigration officers, as well as from security guards. We have to transfer to another terminal without any assistance for the connecting flight. Do NOT fly with this airline.
