We paid for priority boarding. The only priority this afforded us was the dubious privilege of standing for longer than the others on a stairwell and then again in the cold and pouring rain on the runway while waiting to board. Why we were passed through to this point when the cleaning of the plane was not yet complete remains a mystery - a question the couple holding a small baby in front of me, or the elderly man behind will be asking themselves still no doubt. Ryanair are happy to take our money, but far too miserly and profit grasping to use a small proportion of it towards the use of a jet bridge / boarding tunnel for their passengers' comfort. My partner is tall, so we paid for extra leg room; however, what you gain in leg room, you lose in width. I'm not a large person, (being an average size 12/14), but still found myself continually rubbing shoulders with the stranger to my left - and the seats on a Ryanair plane would not compare favourably to your average park bench in terms of comfort.
