Economy Class

Converted Emirates plane. TV system did not work despite restarting several times. In the end I gave up. Coming back there was a limited choice of movies, no info and once the movie had started there was no restarting. Tough if you missed the beginning. I had downloaded the Virgin tablet app but it was not available on this flight from Melbourne to Perth. Virgin still DO NOT cater for special diets and as a coeliac Flight staff were indifferent and said there are only 2 choices take it or leave it. But later a staff member returned with a packet of dried fruit and nuts and a gluten free cookie whilst everyone else had the meal.No voucher, sorry or whatever, just the same story I have heard from Virgin staff over the last year that Virgin are looking into special meals. Yes. They are still looking. If you have special needs TAKE YOUR OWN FOOD. But I suppose a safe flight is the bottom line. QANTAS is better but more expensive. With food in my handbag I will again be flying Virgin from Perth to Melbourne this Sunday and I am not expecting any better service.
