Frontier Airlines review by Sean 2014-10-12

My Frontier plane to take me from Midway to Denver was late. Once we were in the plane it left late. Found out luckily that my Durango flight was going to be delayed in my favor also. When we landed in Denver, we had to wait almost 40mins for another frontier plane to leave our gate so we could enter the airport. I could see my connecting plane out the window from Denver to Durango. When we finally exited the plane I ran full speed across the terminal and got to the Denver to Durango Gate in 40seconds. I was told the gate was closed and that I could not enter! They informed me I would have to wait at the airport for 48hours until there was another flight out and a spot for me. Even though I was staring right at the plane and the baggage crew was still loading the luggage! When I left Midway the gate agent informed me that a flight credit would be awarded to me. I later found out this credit was only $50. $50! Good luck finding a flight from Denver to Durango for $50.00. Most start at $300. In the end I had to rent a car, wait a day for it, sleep at the airport. I missed 2 days of important work, I had to pay for extra parking for my car that was sitting in Durango, I had to rent a car for $200!!!! Pay for Gas $50! Drive 8.5 hours from Denver to Durango, as opposed to a flight that would have taken 30mins!. I lost so much money because Frontier was not on time, was not ready(no gate ready), and would not let me board(even though the plane was still there. I work for trip advisor sites and I plan on writing a poor review everyday for the next month on every website regarding trips, airplanes, and more. People must know of this terrible mistreatment. If Frontier would have offered to rent my car, help with hotels, offer me a free domestic flght trip, or refunded my full amount for my entire round trip I would forgive them and consider them in the future. But now I will make it my mission to let the travelers of the world know the mistreatment they will received from Frontier.
