Today I had the worst experience with Aircanada. I was supposed to travel to New York and they didn't allow me to go on the plane because I didn't have the transit visa of Canada. Before planning my trip I contact the airline and they told me that since I was in transit, I didn't need the Visa. However this information was wrong and I couldn't use my ticket. Nobody helped me with this situation, not even try to change my ticket. Actually they allow me to change my ticket but they want me to pay a 500 usd fee plus a value difference. I had no choice but to buy a new ticket from a different airline. Just wanted to share my frustration...for sure I'll never travel with this airline and of course never recommend it.
