Spirit Airlines review by Cathy 2016-07-28

The flight to our destination was great ..on time and easy. On the way home the flight was delayed, and we were late getting off the plane, thus causing time constraints for our connecting flight which happened to be on the very same plane. On our way off the plane the flight attendant told us not to worry that the plane would wait for all of the passengers to get through customs and security. WHAT A LIE!!! My family and about 60 other people were stuck at the airport about a 16 hour drive from home. They offered no help with food, lodging, and couldn't give us a connecting flight until over 24 later. We slept in the airport and attempted to line up an extended pet sitter for our dog, cancel two very important medical appts, and call in for another day off work for my husband. WE WILL NEVER FLY THIS AIRLINE AGAIN AND I PLAN TO LET EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS DISASTER. Sripit has not heard the last from me. Other airlines have offered assistance with food and lodging when these issues have happened in the past. Spirit wouldn't accept any responsibility for their actions or apologize for the lies and delays. Pay the extra bucks...its worth it!!
