I will never book with AirAsia X again. I had paid for my return flights from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur (flying out Jan 12th and returning on Jan 31st). Air Asia cancelled all flights flying into Adelaide. I was given the option to be flown back to Melbourne and then find my own way back to Adelaide or get a refund. I opted for a refund and have been waiting ever since for my refund. I was advised it would take 30 working days to process, however I have been waiting for over a month now. When I called Air Asia to complain I had to wait a long time over the phone with a horrible message played back repetitively, no hold music - nothing! Finally when I got put through I got a customer service representative who could barely speak a word of English. Every time I have called Air Asia you either get an Asian or an African person who speaks in a thick accent and has difficulty communicating effectively in English. I was informed that Air Asia could not give me a time frame as to when I would receive my refund and I will be contacted by email only at some stage, no callbacks. I am very disappointed with this lack of professional service and will never ever recommend this airline.
