Shocking. Parents beware!!!!!! My children and I were traveling together and had a connecting flight at a large, busy airport. Because United overbooked, we were unable to take our connecting flight and were directed to customer service for re-booking. The only option available to us was for me and my son to fly out first, leaving my 15 and 8 year old daughters behind at the airport. The 8 year old would have to catch an 11:30 flight by herself (I would have to pay extra for unaccompanied minor) and my 15 year old would have to spend the night at the airport. There was no definitive flight option for her, they would just have to see what they could find for her the next day. I was forced to rent a car and drive us home instead.
