My 82 yr old mother in law traveled from LAX to Manila then to Iloilo. Her luggage was opened by "TSA " without her knowledge and 2 dozens of new Tshirts were stolen . Questions : (1) Is this the procedure of TSA to open without passengers permission (2) Is this incidents had been going on and does PAL takes actions for this habitual stealing . (3 ) Is this still PAL's employee doing this criminal acts (4) Opening the luggage could have been done here in LA and why it passed the X ray machines . This is so upsetting to hear such news about Filipinos esp for us balikbayans , This has become a habit for Filipino workers there in our country , what a shame and above all IT SUCKS ! EDITORS COMMENT: TSA can open any bag they wish so if your bag is locked and you don't have a TSA approved lock - i.e. one they can open with a master key then they can and wil break in to your suitcase if they feel they need a closer look.
