Air New Zealand review by Dean 2014-09-22

Flying from regional airport Palmerston North to Auckland and return is a real pain - physically. Usually this route is served by ATR72-600 aircraft and these would have to fitted with the most uncomfortable seats on any aircraft I've flown, and there are many. The seat cushion seems to be designed to give you back pain after only a 1 hr flight. Maybe OK if you are well padded in that area but if not, get ready for an uncomfortable ride. There is no competition on the route and you have to fly middle of the day to get a comfortable Dash8-300 service. Other than seats, ATR is OK and route well served. Flight price is also expensive.
