January 2017 flying Auckland to Queenstown on a 737 I think. Seats are standard fare and do the job, but getting a little uncomfortable toward the end of 90 minute (or thereabouts) journey. Staff and service pretty good, even got $10 discount on the food/beverage cart. However, I did have a problem where my seat was in the middle of the cabin and I needed to use the toilet, but crew bring 2 carts down the aisle at the same time, one from either end, and I was thus trapped for a bit. Not their fault, but there could have been a smelly problem if someone couldn't hold it for long enough. I would struggle doing long haul on one of these due to seating layout, but there is ample flight information these days to check which aeroplanes are being used for each flight and book accordingly So I don't understand those complaining about such things all the time.
