First Class

The real issue is that they lied to me. I went to check in for the flight I booked four weeks earlier. When I booked my trip, every first class seat was available. I chose 1A. When I got the e-mail reminder to check in (one day before my flight) they changed me to 1D (window instead of aisle). 1A was no longer available. I called delta. The woman I spoke with said there had been a change of equipment (different type of aircraft) and they had to re-assign seats. That was not true. I looked at the original ticket ticket and verified it was the exact same type with the exact same number of seats in first class. When I told her this, Delta's representative said I was mistaken. So a lie, which is insulting, plus another insult by saying I was wrong when I had facts in front of me. I assume that a customer with elite status took my seat with Delta's approval. The problem for Delta is, that person has skin in the game and would not walk away from the relationship because he or she couldn't have the exact seat he or she wanted. As a new customer to Delta, I just did walk away and won't use them again unless I have absolutely no other choice.
