Flight 5308 frm hell 26 hrs from TN to SoCal. Flight delayed 9 hrs. Mass confusion by gate agts. No hotels, no meal vouchers. Mass confusion in Denver on luggage, in baggage claim from 2:30am to 5am. Landed LAX, not ONT. Horrible!

We had a very bad experience with United Airlines. When flying back from Dallas to Stockholm on July 28, we were told at check-in that we had no checked baggage, even though I had already paid for it in advance and showed them my booking confirmation. The staff was extremely unhelpful and rude. I was there with my husband and two toddlers for nearly an hour, but they still forced us to pay $75 extra, otherwise we would miss our flight. I was told to contact the travel agency later for a refund, which is completely unacceptable. The agent even said that we should change our tickets if we didn’t want to pay again. No empathy, no help. I will avoid this airline in the future and recommend others to be cautious, especially when traveling with children.

Overall, I hated the Premium Plus concept- a waste of money. Don't fall for it. Economy seats are tiny. If you 6' 5 forget and spend extra money to fly more spaciously.

Honestly United has improved SO MUCH! I would rather fly United than Singapore any day of the week. Such better seats and product on long haul routes. Yes you have to spend $100K+/year for global services but totally worth it!

Horrible airlines, their website had a glitch and charged us $200 for overweight luggage. Even if it was (it wasn’t) I am military and a United card holder. We immediately reached out when it happened and they denied our claim. Following this we booked a flight with assigned seating together for a 14 HOUR FLIGHT. Not only were we forced into a rebook with another airlines but they offered no compensation for our seating to and from our international flight. We lost luggage during the transfer process and so much more just a horrible experience and these airlines are not held accountable for their actions. Never using them again and will surely close my credit card account

Flew from Orlando to New York, my wife left a bag on the plane, reported straight away in the airport and nothing turned up, either pilot, hostesses or cleaners have taken it. Our next flight from New York to Hawaii 11.5hrs the plane had come in from France. We booked premium economy and was Absolutely disgusting, the pull out food tray was heavily soiled with food on the floor. The pouch on the back of the seat had rubbish and dirty hand wipes left in it. We have travelled from Newzealand to USA on holiday totalling 12 flights in total. We will never book with united Airlines ever again.

I booked a flight with United and later called to reschedule, the date for the flight was changed and I got a credit from United, coz my new flight was cheaper. trying to check in my bags for my return trip and decided to use my credit.I call United and speak with a rep, a supervisor, a manager and they say i cant use my credit because i am flying with air Canada. my flight was booked with united not air canada, why is it so hard for them to transfer the payment. They confirm that yes i booked with united but air Canada is in star alliance united that is why i was scheduled with air canada. how is this my fault or problem, they decided to collaborate with air canada, they , why is it so hard to just connect with them and get my bags paid. Next thing i hear is i can only use the credit for united and mind you this credit has a deadline to be used else i loose it. So i either loose it or fly again with them.save your money and book with a better travel company

Had a flight to New Zealand with return in March 2023. What an experience! A plane was changed at SFO due to requiring serious maintenance, this caused hours of delay and the same happened at SFO on the return flight, even more hours delay. I was worried all the time in the air....would it stay there. Offered a grotty bag of crisps and small can of drink. The real winner was the strange sandwich given on the plane. I ask 'are their planes safe,! Don't want to fly on United again and they know that. So what am I offered, 7500 airmiles and $150 both to use on 'United Airlines'. Bright people must run United!

2nd leg of a trip back to Chicago from Athens, stopover in Montreal, then flight to Chicago. 7 of us (family) were traveling. Boarded the plane headed to Chicago (Thursday night), sat for 30+ minutes at gate, then pilot announced a 'mechanical problem' we de-planed and queued up at gate to find out how United was going to get us home. after an hour wait, we got to gate attendant who said they do not re-book at the gate, she gave us a hotel voucher (for one night) and told us to call the number on the business cards they had at the desk. United was ZERO help in getting us home, much less quickly. we were stranded in Montreal until Sunday morning, United has refused to reimburse us for the extra $1500 in expenses we were forced to pay for hotels (Friday/Saturday) and food for 7 for 3 days. Horrible experience as it happened and then again when United refused to do the right thing and fully reimburse us (they should pay us double for the inconvenience!) THE WORST!

Every leg of the flight was delayed and the last was cancelled stranding me in another city than where we were supposed to land; customer care no longer seems to care about issues with baggage or travel delay and does not do anything to compensate you for these issues Food and drink has gone down in quality over the last year and no special treatment is given to people flying with status even the highest level!

As a 1K with United for the past 29 years, i have seen the ups and downs of the airline. I can see an appreciable positive trend post-pandemic after the COVID cutbacks. They still have NOT returned to the full CONSISTENT service of 2019. Technology, service both in air and on ground, and network are vastly improved. The United app is head and shoulders above ALL the airline apps in the world. United's responsiveness to my needs during irregular operations has helped make up for food and consistency shortcomings. Perhaps a status thing, but i’m as loyal as i have ever been.

I was charged $1300 for the round trip ticket to attend my grandfather's funeral. All of my flights were delayed (one was because they had no crew), and apparently there is no in-flight entertainment offered anymore on United flights. There was no food offered other than a small bag of pretzels and a cup of water for a cross-country (5+ hour flight), I was forced to pay $10 for Wi-Fi service that didn't work, and now I've been told United apparently have a new policy in which they don't adjust fares for bereavement travel. When I called customer service, I was forced into using the text messaging option to try to resolve my concerns due to the waiting period to speak to a representative being over 90 minutes. The United representative that I texted with was not only not helpful, but their messages were full of poor grammar, no punctuation (they often wrote paragraphs with no commas or periods or anything...it was just a run-on, nonsensical way of communicating), and a complete lack of willingness to resolve my concern(s). United has lost a customer for life.

This is the worst airline company I’ve flown with lately. The last 4 flights have all been delayed, they don’t tell the truth, costumer service is horrible. Almost all there connecting flights are very tight, luggage didn’t make it on time, took 2 days for luggage to get to my hotel. On one flight out of Houston, they had two people checking bags for 4 flights at the same time. Using those kiosks cliche a lot, have to do everything yourself….. soon the passengers will be loading their own luggage on the plane and re-fueling the plane.. Avoid this mess

Traveling on a tight schedule due to work and had few options for flights. Missed the first leg of my flight and gate staff refused to help me get booked in another flight from the same airport that would get me to my destination in time. When I went to return home, found out United Airlines cancelled my reservation for the return flight without telling me. They would only rebook me on a flight that arrived 11 hours late and would make me miss appointments, or charge me over $1000 more for a flight that got me back in a time frame that worked for me. The supervisor at United was clearly more interested in spouting legalese than in providing quality customer service. Ended up rebooking myself on a different airline and losing the cost of my ticket. Will not fly with United again.

I flew from Denver to Cleveland and paid $250 more to move from coach to first class and all I received was a glass of sparkling wine and a cup of coffee. No other options were offered to me by the flight attendant. I did receive your typical airline food packet which was expected. I never received any further beverage and the flight attendant wasn't much interested in providing me any further services. The area was exceptionally dirty. It certainly had not been cleaned in some time. (debris, carpet, seat, and magazine rack I would rate as filthy) I had to get to a bathroom, as fast as I could, when I departed to wash my face and hands. I would have received all the same in coach and saved $250. I have been a loyal United customer forever. This was the most disgusting plane I have ever been on.

The United gate agent at Washington Dulles was arrested and fired for stealing my jewelry that was turned into her by a fellow passenger. United did not respond to my calls or emails for over a year. This is how they treat their million mile fliers. They burry the issue and hope it would go away. They ignore loyal customers. To make matters worse I was pregnant at the time. There's so much wrong here. It's a shame it was an airlines I once loved and supported. There are so many other airlines, choose another one.

Disappointed time and time again. Customer service is also poor. My family and I have had most of our flights with UAL delayed or canceled, for often 2-3 hours, on the regular. They also admit it’s due to mechanical issues or waiting for staff, not weather-related. It’s become the exception if they fly on time (or nearly). We’ve missed huge family reunions, have incurred expenses, and the most they do for us is a $50 travel voucher that expires in a year. They have really gone downhill rapidly and I’ll avoid them as much as possible from now on.now what to do with their worthless travel vouchers….

Weather in Houston delayed our flight from SAT to TYS. Unasked, we were put on another flight, which sat on the tarmac for 2 hrs until the pilot said the plane was overweight and asked volunteers to deplane. Eventually, enough passengers deplaned. Because of that delay, our flight from IAH to TYS was canceled and rescheduled for the next day. By then, it was 10 PM. I contacted United by phone while my daughter stood in the customer service line, which closed before she reached the front. The rep I spoke with said we could request cots to sleep in the airport or we could get our own hotel. We got a hotel. The new flight went from IAH to IAD, where we boarded for TYS via wet stairs from the tarmac. I wear leg braces and barely made it up, but when I did, the flight attendant rudely told me to go back down and gate check my backpack. My daughter was able to take the backpack back down the stairs. United sent us each a $150 travel voucher; the last thing we want. We do not plan to EVER fly United again.

The WORST child-"friendly" airline I have ever come across. United did not prioritise families travelling with young children. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. One attendant at the departure gate even said -"hurry up, you're holding up the boarding process". Why not request families to come forward at the start for processing? - afterall, if there are 2 adults and 3 kids, this is OBVIOUSLY going to take a little more time than an adult traveller on their own; the grandparents were attempting to hold the children - which would have made the process quicker and easier for everyone but were pushed aside. On one sector, we were squeezed onto the tarmac bus - had to stand with babies and a toddler - attendant at the gate said we'd have to ask a fellow passenger to make a seat available.

Unprofessional They caused 13h+!!!! hours delay to my parent's arrival (who are in their 60s, travelled for the 1st time and donn't speak english). It was very stressfull and frustrating. I did not sleep that night trying to help them through out all these issues, talking to agents and translating. I talked to the agent on the phone and he kept blaming the previous airline my parent used for the trip from Europe. He refused to give me his badge number so I can't put any complaint against him. So disapponinted with them. I don't want anyboday to experience this, so If you 're flying your parents with united I recommend NOT to do that. Initial flight: UA3631 They moved them to these flights with additional layover: UA1176, UA 586

On Aug. 22, the United Airlines flight from 7:30 pm EWR for Frankfurt was delayed 6 hours and my parents missed their airplaine for Romania in Frankfurt. Now they have to wait more than 6 hours to get another connection and they have to make another stop in Munich before they even get to Romania. This is horrible!! UA could have communicated this delay to at least show up 6 hours later at Newark airport. My parents are elderly, they have medical issues and this is very unsafe for them. United Airlines cancelled the original flight that my parents booked back in June. Then they offered them this alternative with 5 hours of waiting in Frankfurt, which my parents had no choice but to accept. They didn't answer the calls placed numerous times and the waiting period was almost 2 hours each time with no real person interaction but disconnected in the end. Treating people like this is unacceptabl!!! My parents should be reimbursed for this flight. This is just one review of how disgusted I am with United Airlines, but I will copy and paste it everywhere I can for people to know.

Do not fly with United Airlines. This is my third flight with them in 3 months. Each time the flight was cancelled. Each time a different reason given. What’s worse is that their customer service is useless and worthless. They can’t find alternative flights. They have long cues and few employees. When your turn comes they apologize for lack of flights, no hotels available and no compensation. People are furious. It has no respect for customers and tries to make light of its inefficiencies and poor service. Second day in Houston airport trying to get a flight on united. Cash in your ticket and take any other airlines.

I flew BUSINESS CLASS from SFO to DEL and back (Feb 10, Feb 24th). The problems were: (1) baggage claim upon arrival in San Francisco which took more than 45 minutes to arrive and the baggage carousel stopped many times. (2) window seat but could not get a good view through the window because the window was awkwardly placed toward the rear of the seat and the “cupboard” next to the flat surface was next to the window. (Every alternate seat (e.g., seats 2,4,6 etc) had this unfortunate configuration. (3) the arrival and departure times. The arrival to DEL (New Delhi) was at 12:45 AM and the departure was at 4:30 AM, leading to transit times of 6+ hours. (4) security in New Delhi (not United’s fault). Even though business class had a separate line the crates where we had to place our bags, mobile phones etc were too small, took too long to arrive and the women had to go to the same final security check as the non-business class.

worst airline ever. I got sick, lost consciousness and woke up covered in my own vomit and no one has noticed me or offered help as flight attendants were asleep. flight was delayed for 2 hours, and every time they communicate a different reason for it. asked for a wheel chair after reaching my destination (it was clearly indicated in my reservation when i booked the flight) and was told to just walk.

Flew United from Zurich to Newark and Swiss for the return flight. There was no comparison the United flight was much better. The cabin was more modern (did not compare the age of the plains), the Economy Plus gives the budget passage a great choice to get a more comfortable seat without having to upgrade to Business Class. I found the Swiss seats very tight for a Trans-Atlantic flight.

My Family and I fly with United Airlines for many years. I usually never write reviews because I don’t have the time for them. Due to my experience on 8/18/21 with Flight AU 1425 Newark, I am taking the time to write one. Although I had a bad experience, I also had a good one. I am giving it 5 stars because United Airlines has a very caring and attentive Manager Sussanne Caraffa and Yaquelyn Ramirez who went above and beyond to help a customer in need. They are both a great asset to the company. Supervisor Marta Sztyz does not represents this company well as she lacks of customer skills and professionalism. Despite my unpleasant experience with the supervisor, I am glad that the employees and the manager were able to act very professional with caring hands. As thus, I feel comfortable to continue to fly with United Airlines.

I have a couple collection accounts that I want to get removed. I was going through a divorce and lost track of certain bills/paper work. Also, I have completed student loan rehabilitation on my six student loans that went into default. I have been making on time payments with the new provider but the old loans still remain as closed/transferred with the negative payment history on them. Shouldn’t they be deleted since the same loans are now with a new loan provider? It is essentially duplicated reporting them, right? I am planning on getting married in a couple years and want to buy a house with my current girlfriend and with this stuff on my report I fear I won’t be able to do this. This was exactly my story until I contacted ROOTKITS CREDIT SPECIALIST who did the magic by clearing all the debts and raised my score to 800+ across the bureaus and even added some positive tradelines on my report. We flew on a long domestic route for vacation. We booked Economy Plus and I guess it was because perhaps the refund policy is better. It certainly was not due to Economy Plus having more legroom or better food and beverages because the grub and the seating was the same throughout the cabin. On top of that, for the return trip they seated us in regular economy, even though we paid extra. At our stopover in Houston, the kind lady at the customer service desk refunded our entire upgrade fare, coming and going. Thank you, United. However, why are you booting people out of their seats? Hmmmm. There was a thirty minute departure delay leaving Houston when they held up the plane for other connecting passengers. Going we were on a newer 737-900 which was pleasant. Coming back it was a 737-800 which was showing its age. Would we fly United again? Well, the only carrier that seems to even slightly care about a good passenger experience is Alaska. It seems like all are on the woke train so I guess you just have to put up with some inconveniences if you want to travel by air.

cross country from LAX to Newark, so from hub to hub. got on a Dreamline each way and an excellent ride, smooth and perhaps due to Covid about half to two thirds full, always had an empty seat next to me. Service was good, the only hiccup being that they won't serve alcohol in coach and you can't bring your own, the logic behind that I don't get.

I have been a MileagePlus member for 7 years and have traveled numerous times with United and was mostly satisfied with their service. But on the last 12 months I have traveled 4 times and on 3 of this trips I have come home to find out missing items from my baggage. The first 2 claims were paid but my 3rd claim was denied according to the wording on the denial letter because I falsified/altered information. I explained to the representative that I probably misunderstood/overlooked the question and that it was not intentionally. I erroneously answered "No" to a question that should have been a "Yes" and for that I was treated as trying to commit fraud. I'm disappointed with United handling of my claim but I guess my mistake worked in their favor and they used it to avoid having to pay my claim. Anyone traveling with United should be very careful of safekeeping their valuable.

United Airlines has no mercy on they're passengers who may have a handicap or injury.you will be completely on your own if you need any help what so ever during your travels with this airline.i had injuries to both my legs while i visited Hawaii, and could not get any help trying to fly back home to Indianapolis,in.i was just left to figure out how i can get from one plane to the next with no help from anyone during this trip.i will never choose this airline again.

I've flown United a lot, and every time I've had a wonderful experience! The flight attendants were so nice and welcoming, and the pilot was nice as well! I flew economy class and the seats were still super comfy with a good amount of leg room! The price wasn't bad, and the food and drinks were edible! There weren't any T.V.s where I was sitting, so I would suggest bringing phones, laptops, iPads, games, etc. But they have them on higher classes! United is a great airline and I always have a good time every time I fly with them!

Flew Business Class EWR-FRA end of December. Excellent in-flight services. 787-9 cabin was very comfortable and the staggered seating arrangement was wonderful. Flight crew had tendency to keep the Fasten seat belt light on most of the time, when there was no noticeable turbulence throughout the flight, and that light being on most of the time compromised services and any trip(s) to the Lav. Overall the ground and flight experience was wonderful.

Business class was awful. no choices, egg white over wet muffin??? Mile play was a scam, purchased ticket $10 short requirement, called agent, was told upgrade seat or upgrade to business class to qualify, according to the rules #4, paid the upgrade, did not receive promo miles, call customer service talked to off shore agent, he talked to a supervisor, assured me additional miles will post to account that day (gave his name and his agent #) still did not get the miles, called customer service again, gave them the agent name & number, was told he is a united customer service agent but that they can't let me talk to him and that I should email customer service instead???

I would like to highly compliment you on one of your flight attendants, Susan White. She was the first class flight attendant on UA. Susan White is the best flight attendant that I have ever met. She was attentive, competent, pleasant, helpful, humorous, cheerful, professional - just a joy to have on board. She made me feel so safe and at ease. She left a positive impression on me that I will never forget. It meant alot to me that she assisted me. I hope you'll forward this email to her manager, and the vice president of personnel.

Flew IAH-MCO RT. When dropping off my bag, I had to wait for the agent to finish telling a story to the other agent. Flight was the United Standard...Do as little as possible! I was in 23C and took 45 mins to get a drink and wifi was poor. Return flight was aboard an old A320. It felt dirty and was uncomfortable, but can't really expect too much out of United these days. It's clear there is no desire to improve the product. Always feel like I'm burden.
