We were booked on a flight from Dublin to Barcelona. We arrived at the airport 2 hours early, but it turns out, our flight was OPERATED by Vueling…we kept asking people where to go to check in for Iberia, and we were sent back and forth from one terminal to the next. There was not an Ibearia counter to be found in any terminal, as Iberia wasn’t running any flights today, or tomorrow. We tried to call the airline, but due to traveling out of the country, using our phones has proven to be quite the challenge. We finally were told that Swiss Airlines is partnered with Iberia-we went to their counter, and they told us we had missed our flight and would not let us use their phone to contact Iberia. We were literally stranded in Dublin with no way to call. Finally, after adding an international plan to our phone, we were able to call Iberia, but they told us that because we had already missed our flight, there was nothing they could do except for sell us a new ticket. Worst experience ever. By the way, we also have a 5* resort in Barcelona already paid for, but instead, were at the lovely travel lodge by thei airport, which we ALSO had to pay for. This confusion cost us $500.
