I booked a flight to Tampa and West jet charged me twice for the flight. After calling the credit card company I was told to call West jet. An hour later I get through and am told that Flight Hub made the mistake. After several calls to them they go back to West jet and finally issue a refund and cancel the ticket I had an email receipt for. Now I am on hold with West jet for over a half hour again requesting an email for proof of 2nd ticket they charged me for. This has been a bad experience so far and I definately don not want to go through this again

    Do not fly WESTJET !!!
I just got home from the worst nightmare ever. I flew into Toronto on Wed. July 2nd and after 5 days of hell and continuing last minute cancelations after waiting all day for several days, I finally got to Laguadia New York and onto Savannah Georgia. I finally got home yesterday ( Sunday)
I slept in the airport. No help at all. Westjet employees were so unhelpful at the Toronto airport very weird and unfriendly with no direction from agents. I was supposed to go back to work today but am exhausted with swollen ankles after standing in line after line for 5 hours at a time to re book. I am sixty years old and there were people waiting older than I. No water offered or anything. Unbelievable. I felt like a refugee. One of the worst experiences ever! The only plus is that I met some very nice and interesting people along the way. Some of them decided to rent cars, pay for new tickets with other airlines and one family booked a bus to Buffalo New York and then they were going to try to get our from there. The only plus side to this experience is a renewed faith in the nice people I met along the way who were traveling. We all tried to take it in stride and have a

On July 31st, I flew WestJet from Calgary to Toronto heading back to Washington, DC, but as we had smoke in the cockpit, we had to land in Winnipeg. The crew handled the evacuation with courtesy, humor, and efficiency. When on the ground, they continually kept us updated…even when they had no additional information. “We don’t know anything more,” they’d say apologetically, “but will let you know when we do. In the meantime, we’re here to talk with if you need us.” The net result was 84 of us missed connections, but all was handled with such openness, pleasantness, and empathy that there was scarcely a ruffled feather. In fact, when the airline hostess thanked the passengers for their patience and forbearance, the whole plane broke into applause. It was a textbook case of brilliant handling of a difficult situation. Kudos to a well trained and responsive crew! I was impressed…and I was one of the ones who had to stay the night in Toronto and scramble to retrieve my luggage from the striking luggage handlers. I’ll fly WestJet any day.
