    Transavia, is hands-down THEE worst airline I have ever flown (and I’ve flown in Cambodia)! BEWARE! The people at the check-in aren’t even aware that they work for a subsidiary of AirFrance/KLM. I presented my AF frequent flyer card, and the woman says “Sorry, this is Transavia, not AirFrance”. And they absolutely DO NOT have enough space for every passenger to bring one VERY legal-sized carry on. Mine was a $300 Samsonite that is a regulatory bag for carry-on; which is WHY I bought it from a Samsonite dealer!!! It weighed 6 kilos total, and I had to check it! So they randomly walk through the waiting gate and say “OH, OH, OH, you have to check that BIG bag! BUT hey it’s for free, so aren’t you lucky!” So, flyers beware… my advice, hide your bag when you’re at the gate under the chairs, or they will force you to check it. I think they have a quota, “check 25% of the passengers’ carry-ons… because we really do NOT have room for one carry-on per person”. Crappiest airline ever! Total liars. Seriously?? How can the employees not even be aware that they work for KLM/AirFrance???

    The flight tickets don’t say what terminal they flight from, the web check in only works when you buy the tickets from them, any other agency gets a “service not working” status, so good luck if you end in Orly Ouest at 5.00 am trying to arrive to Orly Sud, Taxies will not bother to take you to Orly Sud as it is just too close (but no way to arrive walking, just by car), and Navette services will not start until 6:00 am, I arrived 3 minutes later after they closed the lists, and refused to give any kind of help.
    I did lost my plane, but they lost a customer, I travel from France 2 times every month, from now on, Transavia, like Ryanair is on my “NEVER MORE” list.

    Very good low cost company.
    My experience is about the french transavia from Paris Orly, Not the dutch one from Amsterdam.
    departure on schedule, very pleasant crew.
    And very low prices.

    Transavia is a terrible airline. My 24-year-old niece bought a ticket with them to travel from Athens to Amsterdam. Unfortunately, a few days before her trip, her father suddenly passed away. Naturally, she cancelled her trip. But Transavia refused to refund anything, even though they resold her seat (the flight was overbooked). I understand that the ticket was non-refundable, but they could have made an exception for such an extraordinary circumstance. Moreover, when I contacted them about this issue, the person I interacted with, Mister Mets in Customer Care, was borderline rude and told me that Transavia is not like Delta or KLM (I’m a Delta SkyMiles Diamond Elite), and that my niece should not expect from Transavia the kind of personalized service and exceptions one might expect from Delta and KLM. Seriously? I recommend everyone stay away from Transavia. I mean, if they don’t respect death, what will they do in less serious circumstances?

    me my wife and a friendly couple was travelling from thessaloniki to Amsterdam and back with transavia.We departure from Greece at 01/05/2014 14:10 local time.We checked in the previews day from transavia site.When we arrived at airport the transavia employees checked if our baggage met the trasvavia handbag specks(the baggage was bought the previews day of our departure from thessaloniki according to transavia site specks 55x35x25x,<10kg) and they passed them as hand baggage.After that we board on plane to Amsterdam and we arrived with no problem.We supposed to return at 06/05/2014 9:40 Amsterdams local time.We again checked-in on line using the transavia site the day before we departure from Amsterdam.Next morning we started our return to Greece and we arrived at airport 30 minutes before our departure time because of a delay to our train from Amsterdam central to Schiphol airport(the train stopped in the middle to Schiphol airport and waited 15 minutes for a cargo train to pass)when we arrived at the airport we went to transavia check-in desk for directions and help with our flight.At the trasnavia desk the behaviour of employees was anuxeptable.first they told as that our hand baggage that met the transavia specks in Greece was to big for the plane and not only that because we where 30 and not 40 minutes before departure time the baggage gate was closed and they refused us boarding to our plane and left us in Amsterdam schiphol airport with no help at all.And after that they forced us with their behaviour to buy new tickets from transavia for an other city of my country (Athens) because we had to return to our home immediately and we travelled for 24 hours using any transportation available to reach our home.Transavia is the worst airline i ever travelled and would not suggest them to anyone.This airline will do anything to rip you off finding any small detail that could make you pay extra money.They will not have any problem living alone to a foreign country if you don't have extra to pay.
