DAC-SIN, first time flying them, this time not cheap, like 150 USD one way and the flight was not fully booked, anyways, plane new a320, on time, staff friendly but forgot my request, no major complaints but would fly someone else if given the choice.

Decent service, the staff helped me in using the automated check in system and with our luggage. I note that many complaints here focus on booking issues and I feel perhaps some people did not exercise reasonable caution that should be used when booking flights.
My only complaint is that here was some heavy turbulence during take off which alarmed the passengers, the staff apologized and explained this at the end of the flight. An earlier explanation and calming message may have helped.

I had book my tour to Hong Kong route Chennai-Singapore on Jetairways & Singapore-HongKong on Tiger Airways. As Iam a transit passenger, I dont need singapore visa (the same I do when I traveled thru other airlines earlier). I travelled Chennai-Singapore thru Jetairways and now at Singapore Airport, Tiger Airways ground staff at Transfer Desk E charged me Singapore Dollars 40 per passenger stating “Penalty for my chennai-Singapore travel on a non Tiger flight” and moreover no receipt was provided.
I reached HongKong and my baggege was not found. Upon complaint, Tiger staff at HK said, its not their responsibility to transfer my baggage since I had travelled to singapore on a different flight(Jetairways). Later , i had to beg JetAirways @HK and as a courtesy, later Jetairways sent my baggage thru Singapore Airlines to HK.
This a worst thing that can happen to anyone, when you are on a tour to a new country with family and
a. You are penalised by an Airline without receipt for no fault of yours
b. You find Irresponsible behaviour from airline staff with no ownership of your baggage transfer
c. On top of all, you are totally given ZERO customer service.

You do not expect much from a budget airline but tigerair does as well as a 3 star international airline.

Terrible. DPS (Bali) > SIN > CEB (Cebu, Philippines), both flights with Tiger Air. They wanted to charge me about $40 to have my checked in luggage “automatically” transferred onto the next flight instead of me having to collect it and then check it in again. I have probably flown with over 50 airlines and I’ve been on more than 50 flights the last 12 months and I have never ever experienced a rubbish charge like this. They obviously charged for my check in luggage (which wasn’t cheap) when booking the flights, which I paid, and I didn’t think more of that.
The employee at the counter ensured me that I was informed about this (the extra “luggage transfer” charge) on the website but I have no recollection of this.
Either way, for an airline, no matter how cheap or low cost it might be, to charge for both luggage AND an additional fee to put my bag on the next flight is just terrible.
EDITORS COMMENT: We hear your frustrations but it is stated clearly on the website and it is the norm for most low cost carriers including scoot, airasia. jetstar, tiger, easyjet, ryanair etc etc there are baggage charges for each leg and if you want to have your baggage checked through you need to pay for this privilege as well.
