Customer service is extremely poor on Thai. Apart from the mandatory meal and after meal service, flight attendants didn’t make too much of an effort to be helpful. I was travelling with a small baby and needed to visit the kitchen a few more times than usual. I actually felt uncomfortable asking for water or snacks as the staff congregated in their designated spots and gossiped ignoring clients. One flight attendant even yelled “I’m busy!” to me face and drew the curtains shut.
    Will not recommend this airline.

Check in and baggage delivery was fine.

A real disappointment given Thailand is a country of warm, hospitable people.

I tried using Thai Airways on my trip to Hong Kong. I had a very pleasant experience except on my way back to Thailand when I kindly asked one of the cabin crew to give me arrival/ departure card. I was so surprised when she replied with “we already gave it out” so I answered “ah really? I wasn’t able to get it”, guess what was her reply “It’s because you were not paying attention!”. Seriously?!!!! I was really taken aback and was speechless! The girl beside me told me that they actually didn’t really pass by our row as she also didn’t get it BUT even if they did she shouldn’t reply the passenger like that. I didn’t get the name as I was too occupied with anger towards this rude crew member. I asked another crew , a male at that and he was very accommodating, he even offered me a pen.

In my years of travelling around the world, I was never a difficult passenger. I just spend my time either sleeping or watching movies. I never made ridiculous requests and was never a nuisance to other passengers. That crew made me feel embarrassed and bad even when I was already back in my house because I can’t believe someone would treat me that way

I flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai with TG102 which is a morning flight. On that day they use Boeing 777-300ER which is very new aircraft. the seat is very comfort and the cabin is so wide. Better than any domestic service in Thailand. One thing you have to consider is THAI also have A320 in its fleet – not so spacious like 777. So, If you care about spaciousness and seat pitch,Just take a look while you booking, which aircraft wiii be serviced. I have another review with pictures here. https://meexperienced.wordpress.com/2015/06/04/nice-thai-flight-from-bangkok-to-chiang-mai/ please enjoy!

Flying Thai regularly KL-BKK, BKK-FRA, and BKK to PERTH. Never worse than 6/10, mostly 7-8/10, sometimes 10/10. Dreamliner service to Perth is fantastic, hope it will get reinstated soon. Business class is always very good. Economy class service is good on the newer aircraft, 777, 787 and the new A330. The old A330 is being retired, thankfully. I find the quality of the food better than most carriers, with an emphasis on light, fresh and healthy. Cabin staff are usually very professional and courteous, and like most Thais, are able to keep their composure under any circumstances. Punctuality is still not up to SIA standard, but improving all the time. Suvarnaphum, when you know how to manoeuvre, is actually a great airport, rivaling Changi. Nice extras for Star Gold level. And on price Thai Airways is highly competitive

No experience in the once every few years tourist department, but for regular business travel, Thai Airways in my view is the best on the Europe, South East Asia and Oz-NZ sectors

I have used Thai many times over a decade, flying Syd…BKK route. Sadly this airline has slowly slid downhill, particularly in the last few years. On my last trip I found the crew utterly unhelpful, the aircraft tired and down at heel, and the food sub-standard. The crew , including the chief steward refused at first to help me but begrudgingly agreed when i insisted, but then spent the rest of the trip fussing and trying to cover their backsides.esp. when i asked for a complaints form, which they tried to get back from me . I just booked my family on another Airline Bkk/Syd and have had my last ride on a Thai Aircraft. My major complaint was the seat I was given 57C which has a metal box protruding into seat space making the seat unsuitable for any large framed person. It is also a bulkhead seat, again uncomfortable for me . When I asked to be moved I was told the Plane was full and I was stuck with it . I had to complain loudly and refuse to sit down, attracting a senior staff person who said he had to wait for the “seating list”to come on bord. I was left standing in the asile for over 10 mins when I was moved finally to another seat. I was embarassed ang angry and confirmed a Tha
