OMG! How is it that this DECEPTIVE airline is still in business.
Why is Spirit Airlines deceptive? THEFT!
1.) i gave up my seat due to their over-bookiing
2.) i was hassled when i attempted to use the voucher
3.) i had to send 6 emails to management before i got
the approval to use the voucher; HORRIBLE! it gets worse…
4.) then when i got to the airport to use the voucher the
agent would NOT allow me to travel…
5.) finally the Station Manager acquiesced to voucher; HOWEVER…
to use for a future date; NOT the day i’m standing with bags and
hotel room paid for in Colombia etc… NIGHTMARE! ?
for God sake RUN for your life,,, RUN! RUN! RUN from spiritless airline!

Worst flying experience. Couldn’t check in, card declined. Second card declined. Called once no luck. Checked Amex and visa, no issues with card or available credit. Finally got through to someone who fixed it, took hours.

Had to pay for seat. Get to airport, had to pay $65 for carryon. Seriously!!!!! Uncomfortable, cheap seats. Just bad all around and I haven’t even taken off yet.

I bought a cheap ticket to Guatemala with two different airlines. The one coming back was with Spirit. I went to go check in for my departure 24 hours before I was going to go back and my flight status said canceled. They said it had been canceled due to something with my card but when we called the bank they said they approved the purchase. They still canceled it and didn’t tell me at all. They never sent an email letting me know, they let me fly to Guatemala with no way home. All they could do was help my husband buy another flight for me, the original flight was $129 and this ticket was $280 Because it was bought the day before, but he had to buy it to get me home.10 minutes later I got an email saying that my flight had been canceled, and i could check in for my new flight. THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW!!!!!!!

Zero customer service over the phone. I canceled my flight 8 days before the date after deducting all fees they gave me $100 Reservation credit with their airline. they didn’t even give a penny of my money back. This is crazy!!!!! If someone has a problem and can not make the flight they take their money!!!

RUN, do not walk away from this airline. They advertise cheap tickets to lure you in and then charge you extreme prices, to include your carry-on, ANY checked lugagge, beverages, seating and wherever else they can, so your expense is equal or even greater compared to other airlines.
In addition, the seating is VERY cramped–my husband tried to use a laptop on the plane and he was unable to open it completely, hence he was unable to get any work done. The seats are paper thin: everytime the person behind me accessed their seat pocket, I got a butt rub or rather butt shove.
Someone in a seat in front of us put it somewhat well. This is not a plane! Its a bus. But then I have been on many buses that were much more comfortable.
