I was super nervous about flying Spirit after reading endless negative reviews but I’m happy (and consider myself lucky) to report that my husband and I had a great experience!! No delays, clean plane, friendly customer service, overall A+!

Round trip, New Orleans to Detroit and then back. Had to pay an additional $400.00 (50 per bag) on top of the $200+ each tickets. So twelve hundred to fly a family of four… Absolutely friggin ridiculous! Not to mention, I tried joining their “Spirit” club. It was supposed to save money on the baggage fees. They charged me another $70 and it wouldn’t even let me apply it to my trip. So don’t be fooled by their low ticket quotes. It’s a scam!!! Go with ANY other airline, it’s cheaper in the long run.

I flew from Boston to Detroit last week and had a wonderful experience. My first contact was in Boston with Jorge. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. The seats were very comfortable. That is important because my travel partner and I are both 6.4 and 275 pounds. This was by far the best flying experience that I have ever had. Thank you for your great service and I look forward to my next flight with Spirit.

Rip off! First time flying with Spirit. Thought we would just take a cheap flight to go to Vegas. NOT CHEAP. The airport mixed up our tickets then ended up charging us to print another. After all the charges for everything, you can get a much better flight. The plane is super cramped and small. Will never fly on this airline again!!!

People who submit bad reviews about Spirit Airlines should learn to read the fine print first. All the additional fees are clearly stated before you purchase tickets! It’s a “bare fare”, if you want luxury – buy tickets for a triple price from different airline!! I was more than satisfied with our flight Atlanta – Boston, and back. The flights were on time, arriving even earlier than anticipated. Customer service was superb, flight attendants cracking jokes (“Please put your phones on “airplane mode”, if you don’t know how to do it, ask the 6 y.o. sitting next to you” 🙂 and so on), very courteous. I have read the bad reviews before our trip and was afraid, but decided that financial benefit is bigger than bad reviews. And I was right! I would fly Spirit Airlines with no hesitation whatsoever next time. Great job, guys! I am sorry people cannot read what is included and what is not, and complain about their OWN mistakes.
