    Not worth the advertised low price because you will end up paying more in the long run! I am very unhappy with Spirit Airlines as a company. I recently flew from Houston, TX to Orlando, FL with my children. First….. My flight was changed from an afternoon flight to a 6:45AM. When I called to change to another non-stop flight on the same day they notified me that was the only flight time they had non-stop that entire week. Second…. I check in the day prior to our trip and have to pay $36 per carry on (that’s after I joined their $9 club for $59.95) So I paid $144 to take (2) small overhead pieces of luggage. Btw, while waiting for our flight they announced prior to boarding your carry on items will cost $65 to be taken on the plane and once they have called for the 1st boarding it will increase to $100. Then…… On our return home (Christmas Eve) our flight was delayed to 1:30, then 3:30, 5:30, and then to 8:30pm. When I asked why the delay the told me a flight attendant was ill and they were trying to find a replacement in Minneapolis where are plane was coming from. They told us they would not officially cancel the flight till 8pm at that time they would make accommodations

    A seasoned traveler and my Spirit Air experience is enough to last a lifetime and make me run in terror from their logo. Our Schedule was delayed by MORE than 8 hrs with $7 compensation and then the cancelling of the flight. they have No partner airlines to shuffle flights, they provide no updates and have no consideration for their customers needs. Other words, thinking of flying Spirit,
    Run the other way and pay more, you deserve it. If you are a seasoned flier expecting quality and getting to your destination, RUN FROM THIS AIRLINE. It will leave you entirely disappointed and most likely stranded. Never again will I fly spirit.

    The worst company to book a flight.
    I will never loose my money with this company. First you have to pay for everything, including water, have a seat beside you family or have a suitcase with more than 40 pounds even if it is share by your family (3 person in our case). There is nothing to eat. The seats are very very uncomfortable. And finally they are the most irresponsible company you can book a flight. They canceled our return flight with the excuse of the weather. There was not bad weather, but they after hours of delay, cancelled the flight and gives us a two days later flight option with no hotel reservation, or money refund for an amount (for 3 people) that does not covered a price to get a ticket for one person.
    The only thing positive I can say of my experience is that I returned home not with Spirit.

    5.5 hour delay and counting for “maintenance” no apology, no explanation and a $7 meal voucher
    EDITORS COMMENT: So frustrating as the passenger waiting in the airport but safety has to come first.

    I could give negative stars I would! Worst airline in history! We arrived at the airport to take my elderly disabled mother for her flight. Arrived exactly 2 hours ahead of flight time, not anticipating the fact that Spirit would only have two people at the counter to check her bag. After 45 minutes in line, we finally were “greeted” by a very rude young man who said that we were too late to check the bag. Being a little bothered, we said that was crap. He then said that unless we toned down he would not help us try to rebook her for tomorrow, in a quite arrogant manner. And argued with us that we weren’t in line that long and weren’t there the required two hours in advance. Needless to say, we had to weave her and her walker back through the crowds. She is so incredibly exhausted now. Never fly on this airline! Unless you like extra long lines, incredibly unhelpful rude service and being bumped off your flight.
