Only “Spice” No “Jet”.

I booked a ticket from Mumbai to New Delhi (Ticket attached) hoping that I would be able to see my doctor and undergo scheduled medical checkup.
Thanks to Spicejet, I missed both.
The flight got cancelled without any prior information or notification in any form.
I was left stranded at the Mumbai airport killing my time speaking with Spicejet guys who were both rude and non-cooperating.
They were least interested in sorting things out and kept saying that they sent a mail a day before which I still can’t find in my inbox.
And as if it was not enough, when I told them that I have a doctor’s appointment, their reply was, “You should have told us before” !!!.
So next time you choose Spicejet please make sure you provide all your trip/personal details to them.
Eventually, after arguing for 3 hours they accommodated me in a flight (Indigo), that departed after 2 hours, wasting my 5 crucial hours.

I do not know how these guys operate, but such non-professional in fact irresponsible attitude and rude behavior tells clearly about the quality of this airline.
This was the most horrifying experience ever.

Bad service. My bag got ripped off by the airline. I was travelling from Kochi to Pune on 12th August. The customer service girls were least bothered they took the bag photo, made me write a customer complaint and mentioned that someone from their call centre will call me. I did not receive any call for a week. When I called the customer care the complaint was registered. Follow up call was also made by me after 14 days but no one seemed bothered. In the end Amerinder got in touch with me and requested me to send the photo of the ripped bag as they Airport customer service rep did not send any photo. Then I got a call once again saying they will pay me compensation of Rs. 800 for a bag which costed more than Rs. 2500 as it was a branded stroller bag from VIP. The whole procedure took 1 month and 10 days. No wonder why there are other airlines doing better than Spicejet.

horrible..there is no communication about flight cancellation. i had to wait for 12 hrs in the airport due to this miscommunication. they showed little concern when i asked about the cancellation. they staff was pathetic. they behaved as if i had no other choice. This is the last time I will book through spice jet

Never choose this airline no matter how much discount do they offer. I am travelling from New Delhi to Guwahati. My bad time started from 1st December when I received a message from them saying that the flight has been cancelled due to operational issue. They mentioned two contact numbers asking to call for re-scheduling. The numbers were not reachable for two continuous days and on third day was able to make contact. My Previous flight was a direct one on the other hand when they re-booked for next day it was a stopover at Bagdogra which they even did not bother to mention it. Finally the flight was delayed on the journey date also by 5 hours. Well the sufferings did not end here. All the passengers were taken to the flight and Que up even before the Arrival passengers did not finish de-boarding. After 45 mins of waiting finally boarded the soiled and dirty airbus which was not even cleaned before the passengers were asked to board the flight. Worst experience till date. Keep away from this airline.

I have booked the SpiceJet flight from Lucknow to Hyderabad to travel on 5th March 2014. The booking was done on 25th Dec 2013.
On 28th Feb, I received just a SMS mentioning the flight from Lucknow has been cancelled due to operation reason and ask me call at their call centre to rebook the flight.

When I called, I was given two options
1. Either travel a day before or a day later – I mentioned that it is not possible for me owing to my personal and professional commitments.
2. Take the full refund – I mentioned that I have to travel on 5th Mar 2014 and if I take the refund and book flight from another airlines, who will pay for the difference in fare (which obviously is their responsibily as the flight has been cancelled from their side). To this they mentioned that it is not their responsibility.
3. Take a flight on same day from Varanasi instead of Lucknow – Varanasi is around 287 KM from Lucknow. In order to catch a flight from Varanasi, I have to start at least 8 hrs prior to my flight time apart from spending like 5 thousand rupees in booking a cab.

I have requested them to provide the below option
To book a different flight (indigo or jet) from Lucknow to Delhi and then I board the same flight from Delhi to Hyderabad, which I had already booked. This option has not been agreed upon by them.
