Flew JNB/PER on 30 Dec 2013 on an A343. Staff were attentive but not omnipresent.
Flight not full so had empty seat next to me – makes a difference.
Avoid the periodic A342’s on this sector ! Old and no personal in flight entertainment and they just repeat the movies …

I flew Perh to Joberg and found it was average.Staff are good only when they are seen ,they should spend more time checking the passengers needs as this is their job .I notice some seats are in good spots , others not. My seat was able to recline so I was lucky I have flown on airlines on non reclining seat and get very uncomfortable after a few hours

Flew Perth to Joburg on Christmas day. Flight was 100% full but food and service were excellent.

FLEW FROM PERTH TO JO’BURG & BACK AGAIN. BOTH FLIGHTS ON OLD AIR BUSES HAD NO IN FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT – HAD TO KEEP TELLING STAFF TO PUT ON THE NEXT MOVIE. STAFF WERE AVERAGE. I FLY THIS ROUTE 6 TIMES PLUS A YEAR & NOW FLY WITH AIR MAURITIUS OR SINGAPORE AIRWAYS. SAA – YOU HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS!!
