so for the first time I embarked on a downting task of travelling abroad. as such you are not entirely aware as to what is to be expected on the flight for 10 hours
I was greeted by the warm cabin crew of flight SA222 to Sao Paulo on the 24th April 2016
the extent of experience of the cabin crew is quite impressive and immediately puts a novelist like me at ease.
I was particularly impressed as to how they had continuously ensured that my needs where put at ease whilst ensuring that I’m given room to adjust to mu surroundings
considering that there where kids on board, I must say that the Cabin crew showed significant Farnese throughout this challenging flight

I’m assured that with a crew such SAA that of flight SA222, SAA will continue to be flourish regionally as well as abroad

thank you for such as experience

Horrible airways. The staff on the plane and in the airports need to change their attitudes. Gives the airline a bad name. Wake up S.A.A

Flew return with my young family, Perth-Joburg-Cape Town, Cape Town-Joburg-Perth. The tickets were the cheapest of any airline for a direct flight to South Africa and back. The cheap tickets did not represent the quality of service we recieved. Very professional friendly service. Very good food. Clean plane. If I was pedantic, I’m sure I’d be able to find fault but I was generally happy with the whole process and would certainly fly SAA again.

I recently travelled to hong kong with friends. I was appalled by the rude and poor service i received from the saa staff.

They were completely unwilling to attend to our requests and made us out to be unreasonable, rude and even accused us of being drunk after having one gin and tonic.

I believe that cabin crew should be very firm with pssengers who drink too much, but this was not the case at all in this instance.

Furthermore, after a delay of one hour at or tambo, they refused to assist us with directions (or just any advice) on catching our next flight connecting to vietnam (for which we now had 35 minutes). The one hostess replied to my query with “hong kong airport staff will have to help you” and walked away.

After some more generally poor service and rude responses, the final straw was when a hostess refused to bing my friend a coke, even after he explained that he is on heavy medication and often experiences a drop in sugar levels after taking his meds (he has lupus, for crying out loud).

I was ashamed of my national airline and I will never fly it internationally again.

Don’t think that 1200 words are enough to describe the horror of checking in at the business desk this morning in Cape Town! Horrendous service, attitude, knowledge of staff, rude, beyond belief.. wouldn’t mark our suitcase as our freq card status allows, then 2 hours delay at the tarmac, a plane that was falling apart, then missing 2 suitcases out of 3 at end destination (one full of fresh meat bought to bring home supporting SA economy!), despite a half full plane! Things certainly are falling apart for this once grand airline – despite my loyalty to a Star Alliance partner and my great, great love for the country the service I experience from SAA staff the 4 times a year I travel here is beyond bad, I will have to switch airline and go do my shopping somewhere else, helping another southern African country out.
