Having travel extensively in my life and also with SAA but as time gose by instead improving the experience gets worse. So why travel with them you say as it is the only direct flight to Perth, Australia I have no option. My last flight final straw howerver, from take off the landing the cabin crew were no where to be seen, I asked for a asprin for a headache and i am still waiting. Lucky for me the passenger next to me had some. In furture I shall be flying with anyother airline even if it does take longer to reach my final destination. I have given up on SAA and tell all my friends to use a difference airline.

I regularly fly the Perth to Jhb with young kids. Flights are always on time. The staff have always been terrific and the food excellent. On flight entertainment has malfunctioned on some flights.

Flew from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo. Business class seats are great and allow one to have a good sleep. Food and in-flight service and entertainment are good.

I regularly fly this route and do so largely because it is a direct flight. This particular flight (A340-300) was very full but I managed to have a seat free next to me which made the flight much more comfortable. Food on SAA is acceptable without being outstanding. The cabin crew were professional in managing a very full flight. This is an overnight flight so many passengers slept or tried to sleep rather than utilise the in-seat entertainment. Movie selection was fine, although as a frequent traveller I had seen most of the options. The quality of this flight largely depends on how full the plane is. If you are lucky and the plane is not full you can enjoy a direct, overnight flight with room to sleep for the perfect flight
