    For several months, we have been requesting that SilkAir look into report over our lost luggage. In July 2015, we flew from Los Angeles to Phnom Penh using three airlines, one of which was SilkAir.

    A few weeks after our flight, we opened some of our smaller bags and boxes that were in our luggage and found that some items were stolen and/or damaged. We expected our luggage to be occasionally inspected; however, we did not expect for items to be stolen or damaged. These damages and stolen items overall total to $500+.

    When we were able to finally talk to airline staff, we were told that we have no evidence that our items were lost and they acted as if we were liars. All of this was very disappointing and highly unprofessional.

    Over the past few months, we have contacted SilkAir via phone and email with no progress. We did not lose much, most of it was sentimental and its cannot be recovered even if we buy it back, but we ask that we are at least compensated for our losses.

    So far we have sent NINE emails to SilkAir. They have stopped responding. We will never be using SilkAir again, even though we fly regularly to Cambodia.

    What a shame.

    I travelled from Cebu to SIN and back. I’d like to give SilkAir a round of applause for their excellent service. The flight stewardesses were friendly, but one stood out – I spilled food on my shirt once, and upon seeing it, she offered me a tissue without hesitation despite being very busy serving food to the other passengers.
    The food was good – the fact that they offered food at all was good, actually, for a 3-hour flight at 3pm – and strong metal cutlery were provided. If you’re particularly hungry, you can also ask for extra bread. You won’t be rushed to finish your food – for a slow eater like me, this was very much appreciated, because I had had prior experience with other airlines which collected food trays 5 minutes after distributing them.
    The flight schedule was also reliable – we did not experience any delays. Baggage was loaded onto the baggage belts promptly, so we finished collecting our baggage 5 minutes after clearing immigration.
    The only negative is that not enough pillows were provided for all the passengers – two pillows were given for every row of 6 passengers.
    But overall, it was a joy to fly with SilkAir, and I would definitely fly with them again.

    The flight is kinda bad.There is an air leak and Buisness class seats are poorly designed.Also,no own TV And little entertainment

    Coimbatore to Singapore!
    The flight was pretty good with Charming Cabin crew, the Ground staff take good care in each step until boarding in. The food was delicious had Inflight wifi connectivity Entertainment fast enough. The cabin crew look good and offered services more than I expected. I will choose Silk air if i would get a chance to fly in its destinations. Nice legroom and Friendly Cabin crew. I wish i could fly in Silk Air again. Thanks to Silk Air 🙂

    Flew Singapore-KotaKinabalu on Airbus A320. Want to emphasise the excellent ground service. Plane was 2h late from KBI. Flying with two young kids, we had a long haul connection from SIN and another connection in Europe on different airlines. Ground crew managed to edit boarding passes for two flights and secure baggages to destination + offer dinner in 10min, no hassle. Great customer experience.
