Not bad for a low cost carrier especially the option of different classes onbord are appreciated even business class is not the same as a proper business class but having the private cabin and the seat in front of the plane is well worth the small extra cost

This airline is just one of the kind. Like i have never seen an airline this unfair and unorganised.
I travelled from Singapore to Melbourne on late January. Flight at 12:40am. I arrived at gate 12:20 and they did not let me in. They hold the plane till 1am to find my luggage and throw it out. All they said was sorry you missed your flight. I showed them the time as in i have 20 minutes left and they were like,NO you have to be at the gate 45 minutes before and that is the rule. they passed me through the flyscoot office to collect my bag. I went to their airline office to seek help and the girl sitting behind the counter talking on the mobile phone with the headphone as in i am not available. After 5 minutes of chat on the mobile phone i explained the situation and she calmly responded: SORRY WE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING AT THIS STAGE AND YOU MISSED YOUR FLIGHT. you have to buy a new ticket back for tomorrow. 45 Minutes later, someone took me to immigration to stamp entry again to Singapore in order to receive my check in bag. They said we can not pass you your bag in transit so you have to enter Singapore and receive your bag after immigration. Even immigration officer was surprised.

EDITORS COMMENT: This is not a specific to Scoot. Cut off times at Changi airport are not 20 minutes and to be fair all the signs through the airport do say final call etc. It is ridiculous to delay the plane so your bag can be found we agree but we can assure you that this is a Singapore Airport thing.

Recommend taking Singaporean dollars with you and plenty of it if you plan on eating or drinking anything. They don’t even offer a glass of water free. Zippo. The staff were friendly enough.

EDITORS COMMENT: No it’s a low cost carrier so they can charge for everything, that’s why the actual airfare is a lot cheaper than a full service carrier.

Travelled from Singapore to Melbourne on 2nd May 2016 and I can’t fault Scoop. We checked in 6 hours before departure and all of the staff were so helpful. They took our luggage and provided me with a wheelchair, (which I hadn’t requested), but the check-in assistant knew that I had a problem, and she went so out of her way to get a wheelchair for me. I just cannot recommend Scoot enough for future travellers. You certainly get more than you pay for. Very well done Scoot. I was very very impressed.

First of all, I read that reviews about compensation and so on will not be published, but I consider this occasion as one that should be known if people consider to fly with Scoot.

I know you get what you pay for. In this case I didn’t even get that. The ground staff denied me entry to the flight, based on the reason that I am “too late” (I was not. As were the 10 other people waiting in queue with me for over 20 minutes.).
The “24h English Help Hotline” is “not there for such discussions” (yes, this is a quote).
The support of Scoot didn’t answer to my complaints on their hotline, their homepage, nor their Facebook page (which shows the complaint as read).

If you have the choice, chose another airline.
