My daughter Grandaughter and myself travelled by Scoot from Hong Kong to Singapore, then Singapore to Perth. As my daughter was wearing a moon boot for an ankle injury, when booking seats, the person booking us listed us for row 30 as he said this would offer my daughter extra leg space. Sadly when we boarded and settled, suddenly staff started stressing about her sitting in that row with a protective boot…said it was a safetly issue, although could not define what safetly issue. In desperation we paid to be moved into business class from Hong Kong to Singapore. When we boarded that flight, same seats had been alloted, but again staff stressed about safety issues with my daughter sitting there. Asked to pay to move to business class, no that was not an option…insisted she move before take off as if there were issues in take off she would not be able to run??? As they made the whole incident so embarrassing for her, she finally conceded to move as directed. After take off my grandaughter and I insisted to be moved to be with her, which did occur. However the staff member who insisted on the move, Gra Shi Ting was rude and offensive, telling my daughter she was disabled

Before my return trip last week I would have rated Scoot as 10, great value for money. However after a serious accident in Malaysia & needing to return to Australia urgently I went to Scoot Changi at midday explained the situation & asked if I could get on a flight back that night Tuesday rather than the one I had booked on Thursday (I knew I would not recover any money back). Their answer yes for $750. The most I have seen for the Gold Coast – Singapore leg has been around $380-400 either way, in fact my total return trip with larger seats, meals, 20kg luggage, lounge in Changi was $520. I said that this seemed unreasonable, & especially so as I know that they resold the seat I had booked. They said the high cost was due to a nearly full flight & due to my urgency to get back to hospital I was forced to pay what they asked. On the flight there were still quite a few empty seats available!

One of the worst airlines I have ever travelled with. On the 17th of July I had taken a flight from Singapore to Chennai. Flight No. F502 from Terminal 1. It was a 22.45 departure & we were already tired. We cleared the security check & boarded the flight. Before take off the captain announces a technical difficulty & we were offloaded & made to wait for 3 hrs. We had to go through the security check again & in the hand baggage they found us carrying a perfume bottle which they said they wouldn’t let us carry as it was above 100 ml. However, they missed this one during their security check the first time. When requested, the security staff there, Selva Kumar, was really rude and got into an argument with us. When highlighted that the first time we were let go with the perfume in the hand baggage and the airline was at fault, he refused to take responsibility on behalf of the airline and bluntly said that he didn’t care. Highly unprofessional, neither courteous nor empathetic. I am an Ex employee of Indigo airlines & he was teaching me airline rules. He had the audacity to tell us that he would not let us take the flight. He refused to apologize & such staff need to be fired.

I flew on scoot from gold coast to Singapore. I am disappointed that the seats are soooo uncomfortable. I in fact travelled on the extra legroom seats, still ended up with a back pain as the seat has very little padding and the handles are extremely cheap plastic. To make it worse some idiot deviced the buttons for lights and attendants on the handles. So people were constantly pressing them accidentally, so there is a light show and the attendant button being randomly pressed. I think even the flight attendants are irritated with this as they have to constantly come and tell people please cancel it as you accidentally pressed it.
The most ridiculous thing is they don’t even offer water free of charge! This is a 8.5 hour flight. Where are the human rights? Will they charge for air next? I think this should not be legally allowed. Even a cheap domestic flight where you pay under $50 sometimes gives water free of charge. A small 200 ml water is $4.00. What if someone is not carrying money and does not have a credit card? I think it is inhumane not to give water on a 8.5 hour flight. Will never travel again. It is definitely not value for money.
EDITORS COMMENT: Whilst we don’t agree with no free water, the fact is that they are a low cost carrier and therefore they can charge for these things- majority of low cost carriers do. There is a reason that you booked this flight over Singapore Airlines or Qantas, the cost. Full service airlines include everything but on a low cost carrier you do compromise in flight product for a cheaper fare. Scoot are actually one of the most comfortable low cost carriers as they use twin aisle aircraft rather than single.

First time flew with Scoot in December 2015 with my daughter from Melbourne to Singapore. Comfortable and spacious.
Second time around flew from Melbourne to Singapore on the 2nd July and vice versa on the 11th July, can’t fault this airline at all. Had my cousin with me for the return flight. She wasn’t sure about this airline but she was amazed too and said the plane was all white and looks spacious enough and the seat was comfortable too.
Overall, well done Scoot. I’ll be flying again on the 13th October for my cousin’s wedding and can’t wait for it.
