    Our first flight with Scoot and probably the last .. we submitted an upgrade for Scoot Biz which we received but the total lack of service and sub standard didnt make it enjoyable. The food and beverage was worse than other airlines economy options and everything was about selling products to make more money .. the welcome drink a plastic cup of water .. lunch in plastic container.. no tea or coffee offered… no wine available as out of stock.. you have to purchase wifi if you want to utilise… the crew did not speak to us just sat behind the curtain gossiping … very poor experience Scoot…

    Worst airline experience I’ve had to date. Never even made the flight. After going through an online checkout process riddled with hidden upsells (including trying to get you to pay for selecting your seat), I paid for my flight. I immediately realized that I had made a booking error, which was totally my fault: the time was for 2:25AM, not PM.

    I called them immediately (minutes later), and they wouldn’t budge on refunding. Not only that, they wouldn’t let me change my destinations, and their only flight schedule for BKK to TPE was between 2:25AM and 3:50AM, for the foreseeable future!!!

    I was on the phone for an hour. They were completely unhelpful and unwilling to make an exception in the name of good customer service. I will never recommend this airline to anyone. Ridiculous.

    I have taken several Scoot flights over the last couple of years. Overall, each flight rated above average. However, I had to cancel my recent flight on compassionate ground and this is when the nightmare started. An airline must also be rated on the way it manages issues outside SOP and when genuine clients are in need. The company hides behind its call centre and does not have a channel to alleviate complaints. It has been almost 3 weeks since my initial contact, with my numerous follow up, about the cancellation. To date, the issue has not been resolved. In case you need to go through my experience, you need to take a full swig of the patience potion and hope that you don’t suffer from hypertension. Upon receiving the request, Scoot advises that it would again be submitted for further evaluation and subjected to approval. To add fuel to fire, they asked for further patience as their process could take up to additional 8 weeks due to their large volume of requests. Note the irony. Before booking a flight on Scoot, read the fine print – refund is in the form of a transferable travel voucher valid for 6 months, irrespective of your circumstance.

    EDITORS COMMENT: As frustrating and unfair as this seems, this would be the case for 90 per cent of carriers if you were traveling on the cheapest -non flexible- fare. These fares are great – it means we can all travel more but don’t expect a refund or any compensation of you need to change your plans no matter what the circumstances.

    Well done scoot you exceeded my expectations – had a great flight from Melbourne to Singapore today – great value – excellent staff – efficient and quick check in and boarding – I will definately fly Scootbiz again

    When you Scoot and pay for your ticket, check that you are not double charge, i pay via Poli and was prompt that it has insufficient time to pay via Westpac and the next screen appear is via Credit Card, as i need to fly out. Input my Credit Card detail which is $10 more for whatever charge they put ut there, and that it, my ticket was confirm and email confirmation was sent to me, and when i login to my westpac account. Was shocked to see that my echoice was charge and credit card too. Call Scoot Hotline immediately , and confirm that credit card was charge but they could not confirm Poli payment was deducted, and was directed to login to Scoot to lodge a report, and was prompt that it will take 10 days for Scoot to investigate, multiple call and email, and into 1 month today, no reply and call from Scoot, when you call Hotline, they say it the account dept, and they even go to the extend to claim that no lodgement was lodge and i press further for info, all detail was review i their CRM. Wonder how many has double bill and give up as westpac ask lot of detail and wants full report to rebut the charge even when they can see it charge on both account from westpac. Suppose save but.
