Ordered meals when I booked, when I got on board advised “that I had cancelled them”, I didn’t do this and had still been charged. Paid an extra $79.00 AUD x 2 for extra legroom and seating allocation, got on board and had been moved. When I questioned that we had paid extra for extra seating staff just advised that the seats had been double booked. When I wrote to Scoot was only offered $50 Singapore dollars per passenger (I paid equivalent to $82 Singapore Dollars for seat allocation) This was not offered as a refund but a “voucher” to use when travelling on Scoot again. No money was given for back for the meals not provided (ended up buying them again on board as my son was starving)…. Whilst I understand problems happen, Scoot has offered no ‘refund” just a voucher towards any future bookings. I won’t be travelling on Scoot. You can pay and book for something and not have it delivered. In anyone’s language, that is not only dishonest, but just wrong.

Absolutely hopeless and would never book with them again. I booked a ticket for my daughter to come visit Sydney to Singapore return. Contacted customer service to book as she is 17 yrs old, asked if she would need a letter as an “unaccompanied minor” and they said yes. At Sydney airport they refused her to travel as she was unaccompanied and as of September 2016 rules had changed that passengers had to be over 18 unless travelling with an adult (ticket was booked in November 2016). I have been now waiting over 10 weeks to receive a refund and keep getting the run around. Unbelievable bad service and would never recommend or travel with them again.

Flights from Perth to Singapore and return: Very smooth (The dreamliner is an amazing aircraft)
Food: Don’t bother with the prepurchase – take your own, especially water. Meal drinks are either coke or an iced tea.
Seats: the light switch is annoyingly activated everytime you reposition your arm and the recline function is not easy to use. Take a cushion.
Toilets and carpetry: Not well maintained.
Extra-legroom seats (behind the bulkhead in the middle of the plane): passengers who purchase these have the right to refuse to let anyone past who wants to use the toilets on the other side of the plane. If the service trolley is in use you must wait until you can walk completely up the other aisle to return to your seat.
Cabin Crew: polite and friendly but will try to upsell everything.
Its a budget carrier so you get what you pay for but you fly the Dreamliner.

I recently travelled Scoot from Singapore to Perth.

I was fairly excited to travel with them as they have boasted flying the new 787 Dreamliner. I had booked their business class to have the extra room, luggage and meal. Now I realise this is a cheap offshoot SIA, however this near new plane was in pretty shabby condition, honestly the interior looked like a plane of ten years old, pen marks all over seats, grubby walls and carpets, it was a real disappointment.

The immediate thing I noticed is noise levels, I had a few days earlier flown from Hong Kong to Singapore on Cathay on an A330, they are much quieter aircraft, so I don’t understand the claim from Boeing, the so called tinting glass rather than shades you pull down are a gimmick, they dont work, they only block 80% of light and they give off a blue green light, unlike the good old pull down shade that blocks everything 100%.

The cabin crew were pretty ordinary, they did just enough, never went beyond and stayed well planted in the galley, food ordinary, overall a disappointment.

But, on saying that, you have to accept this is what you pay for, so for me, I’ll stick to the full service airlines like Cathay, SIA.

My wife and kids flight was delayed in first segment. So they missed connectinting flight.
They gave her a flight 24 hrs later. And now the second flight is delayed by 5.5 hours.
Thats 30 hrs delay on one flight.
    Beyond ridiculous…
